BIO E company is a Chilean organization dedicated to the development and operation of biogas projects through its plants in Molina and Los Pinos.

Biogas, generated in our plants from organic waste, provides clean electrical and thermal energy, as well as agricultural biofertilizer.

As a company, we seek to reduce the impact that this waste generates in our communities, being a sustainable solution based on circular economy. Thus, the human negative impact on the fragile balance of our planet is reduced.

To ensure that non-conventional renewable energy generated by biogas becomes a viable and concrete alternative to complement Chile's energy matrix, displacing the predominance of fossil fuels, thus contributing to carbon neutrality and sustainability.

Products and services

At BIO E companies, we value energetically the household and industrial organic waste by anaerobic digestion. With this technology we are able to transform the organic matter contained in organic waste into energy in different forms, such as electrical energy, thermal energy or biogas, which is a biofuel with characteristics similar to natural gas.Today, as a society, we mainly use 3 methods to recover waste: reuse, recycling and energy recovery.

In BIO E companies, through anaerobic digestion,we transform the chemical energy contained in organic waste (organic matter) into a biofuel called biogas, which is mainly composed of methane (CH4), which is a component that contains the chemical energy transformed into a gas. Subsequently, the biogas is combusted in an engine, transforming through an explosion chemical energy into mechanical energy, which generates the rotation of the engine. In addition, the motor is connected to a generator, which with its rotation transforms the kinetic energy into electrical energy.

At Empresas Bio-E, through anaerobic digestion, we generate a by-product called "digestate" which is a biofertilizer rich in micro and macronutrients that is agriculturally known as a complete "NPK" fertilizer, since it mainly provides nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium, which are essential elements for the growth and life cycle of any flora. A fertilizer is any substance containing micro and macronutrients in forms that can be assimilated by plants, to maintain or increase the content of these elements in the soil. Nowadays most fertilizers are of inorganic origin and chemically manufactured.
